The proof that President Muhammadu Buhari is not the welfarist he claims to be is out. The news is out that a former driver of his who goes by the name, Mallam Sani Adamu is right now wallowing in poverty and relies on others to feed.
The kindness of a successful man can be judged by the quality of life of the people whose path he has crossed. When a man is blessed with money and those who are in his life or have once been in his life are wallowing in poverty, he cannot claim to be a good man or lay claims to being compassionate.
President Muhammadu Buhari was voted into power because many thought, he would be that leader who will set the pace in prioritizing the needs of the poor. But we were deceived as latest discovery has it that he does not give a hoot about the poor and the evidence is the fact that even while he enjoys the luxury and extravagance of Aso Rock, his former driver languishes in poverty.
This shocking revelation came through a man called Dogo Shettima who is the special assistant to Borno state governor.
In the process of soliciting for funds for President Buhari former driver, Dogo Shettima revealed that a certain General Abdul Khalif who has been engaged with helping retired military men was the one helping Mallam Sani
Adamu with food and money.
Right now funds are being raised on twitter for for the aged driver.
Indeed this should not shock anybody. Just look at the country and you will understand that the welfare of the people is not the priority of the Buhari led government.
Many families are so impoverished that they are even unable to live from hand to mouth
Over 11 million children are out of school and nothing tangible is being done about it.
Public schools which are attended by the ordinary Nigerian people are in shocking states of dilapidation.
Buhari once openly described unemployed youths as lazy. A compassionate leader will never express such an opinion knowing the level of unemployment that Nigeria is faced with. How will the youths engage themselves with work when each successive Nigerian government did not create jobs.
